Ecobuild 2010: The Code for Sustainable Homes

The revised Code for Sustainable Homes and the definition of zero carbon

What are the implications for the Housing Minister’s announcement (as part of the Government’s Low Carbon Transition Plan) that a new definition of Zero Carbon Homes will require the net emissions of a  home to meet a minimum "carbon compliance" standard for on-site carbon mitigation of 70 per cent of regulated energy use?  With an announcement on the definition of a Zero Carbon Home imminent, this session examines the new criteria and what affect this has on the development of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
