About Us

Our Company, Code Consultancy Services Ltd is led by Steven Knight, a qualified and BRE licensed Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and Civil Engineer with broad experience of the construction industry. Having worked in the UK and abroad, in roles spanning structural engineering, to site agent and project management, to new product development, he brings a wide knowledge of construction and a long standing interest in high quality, high performance buildings.

We specialise in the Code for Sustainable Homes, have a thorough understanding of the Code and are bang up to date with all the technical and process issues.

Our current Clients include the Building Research Establishment (BRE) for whom we provide technical and process consultancy on the development of the Code.

Our work for organisations such as Irwell Valley Housing Association and developers such as Barratts and Jones Homes, gives us a wider view of the issues and solutions to achieving various levels of the Code.

We are currently researching solutions for a 60 unit zero carbon co-housing project which will achieve code level 6.

Our staff and associates are all highly qualified professionals with many years of practical experience spanning all the areas relating to the code.
